Privacy approach

Private people are not named for unverified allegations. Sensitive claims require strong public-interest evidence and additional review.
Source discipline
Public records link to their sources but do not republish unnecessary personal details. Evidence excerpts are limited to what supports the claim.
Contact form data
The form collects your name, email address, selected topic, subject, message and submission time. Short-lived, one-way network and email hashes are used only to limit abuse. Raw network addresses and browser identifiers are not stored in the application’s Firestore contact records. Managed hosting and security infrastructure may transiently process and retain standard access or security logs under the cloud provider’s retention policy.
Direct email
Email sent to contact@airiskresearch.com is processed by Resend and stored in a private mailbox for up to 365 days so it can be read and answered. The mailbox stores addresses, subject, a plain-text body, limited threading headers and attachment metadata. HTML is converted to plain text, attachment downloads are disabled, and owner notifications contain no sender, subject or message body. Direct email is not published, sold or used to train models.
Purpose and retention
Form submissions are stored privately for review and response, then scheduled for deletion after 90 days. They are not published, sold or used to train models. The form’s private notification destination is not published.
Processing and delivery
Cloud hosting and database services process form submissions. Only if authenticated email delivery is configured, that delivery processor receives the minimum details needed to transmit them. A form receipt means accepted for review, not delivered or read.
Site preference and tracking
The essential airisk_locale cookie remembers your language for up to one year. Contact details are not put in local storage. The site currently uses no advertising cookies, behavioral tracking pixels or sale of personal data.
Controller and your choices
AI Risk Research, led by Tom Leeming, controls this data. Use the Contact page and choose Privacy request to ask for access, correction or deletion before the applicable retention period ends. Do not submit credentials, private keys, health information or other sensitive data.
